Why Give to KIPP San Antonio?
Give the gift of opportunity
Your support of KIPP San Antonio ensures that current and future KIPP San Antonio students and alumni have the resources necessary to climb the mountain to and through college. As a public charter school, KIPP San Antonio receives 20% less public funding than traditional public schools and does not receive ANY public funding for facilities. Your support helps us close the funding gap to enable more students to receive a free college-preparatory and character-building education that prepares them for success in college and in life.
Every day, KIPP San Antonio schools are proving what is possible in public education. ALL children, regardless of background or demographic, can achieve at the highest levels if given the tools and support they need to succeed. No matter where a student is academically when they enter our schools, our promise to each one is that we will do whatever it takes to prepare them to get to and through college. The number of students seeking to enroll in our schools continues to grow and we have plans to expand to serve more students in underserved neighborhoods.
Currently, KIPP San Antonio serves 1,900 K-12 students in five schools: two elementary schools (KIPP Esperanza Dual Language Academy and KIPP Un Mundo Dual Language Academy), two middle schools (KIPP Aspire Academy and KIPP Camino Academy), and one high school (KIPP University Prep). KIPP San Antonio is on track to grow to serve 9,000 K-12 students in 15 schools inside Loop 410 and 3,000 alumni in the coming years. Since opening in 2003, KIPP San Antonio has been committed to hiring outstanding educators who challenge and inspire our youth, providing students more time in school, a rigorous curriculum, and a strong culture of support and achievement.
