Delisa Arredondo previously served as an Assistant School Leader of Academics at KIPP Camino Academy. She previously worked for IDEA Public Schools for six years as a Humanities teacher and as an Assistant Principal of Instruction. At IDEA, Ms. Arredondo taught 8th grade US History and AP Human Geography. For multiple years, she served as Content Lead, Grade Team Lead, AVID Site Team member and was a representative for the district’s Teacher Advisory Council. As an Assistant Principal, she coached multiple teachers across the Math, Science, English, and Humanities Departments. This past year, 100% of the teachers Ms. Arredondo coached met their End of Year goal by achieving at least a 90% student mastery rate on each STAAR exam. Ms. Arredondo graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in History and Anthropology. She earned her Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ms. Arredondo loves reading, exploring San Antonio, and spending time with her five-year old daughter.
